Asher had seen him arrive and lost track of him soon thereafter, his attention focused on the twins when they came over to show off their newest findings or Del and that damn hat.

He could have gone the entire afternoon not paying Ray any mind, until he made it more or less impossible by coming over and addressing him. Even then, though, he didn't bother saying anything in response. Not walking away immediately was as good as Ray was going to get out of him.
