Man, it sounded like Asher had one helluva cold, which totally meant he needed warming up in Ray's opinion. With a sleepy yawn, he pushed up to an elbow with bleary eyes and lifted his free arm to sling over Asher's body, chin homing in to rest on his shoulder.

What his arm wrapped around instead was cool and rough, kinda like an alligator's hide. He squeezed his eyes briefly before opening them.

They stayed open - very, very open - and for a moment, he was frozen where he was. It was beyond comprehension. It was so unnormal that it made waking up next to Asher seem like an every second occurance.

He had a freaking dinosaur in his bed and not in a metaphorical way. That was the moment Ray started screaming and pulling away and scrambling as fast as he possibly could to get out of the bed. It wasn't necessarily in that order though.
